Tammy's memorial post for Molly is here.

The Dirty Disher paid tribute to Molly here.

I got Molly in August 2007 from my neighbors who were moving. She loved going to parks. We did the fall hiking spree at Metro Parks. That's where we really bonded, walking in the Metro parks.

She absolutely LOVED the Stow Dog Park. We were counting down the months til they reopened. She would run, swim and play there for hours and on the way home she'd be exhausted. She loved playing with other dogs.

Molly never barked at other dogs. Never. She had excellent intuition and would bark at bad people. When we were walking sometimes she would get close to me and growl at someone. I was always safe with her.

Molly had many friends. But she had a very special friend in a lady mail carrier on a route by my house. The lady would give Molly treats after she sat for her. One day the carrier was on the other side of the street from us and Molly started poking around slowly and trying to catch the carrier's eye! she even sat when she was exactly across from the carrier! so so cute. When I told the lady about Molly's passing she was just devasted. She is a fantastic person and I thank her for being Molly's friend.

Molly also loved being in the car. And when we went to a drive-thru, that was just a great day for her. I'd get her jr. bacon cheeseburgers at Wendy's. At Rite Aid they'd give her treats and when we went to Steak'n'Shake they'd give her pieces of bacon. She LOVED drive thru windows!

She loved playing in the snow---she was part husky. And she loved playing with a deflated football. Inside she loved a stuffed animal kitty. We would wrestle almost every night at bedtime and she liked to be 'tucked in' with all her toys around her.

Molly was killed instantly when she was hit by a car. That is the only comfort right now, knowing that she died instantly. She didn't suffer. Her spirit is probably still running.

Once at Goodyear Metro Park she went after a deer. Didn't bark at it, i think she thought it was a strange dog. I went into the woods to get her and i almost had her and a buck went racing past! My friend finally got a hold of her. She had been running with the buck and 2 doe! They could've kicked her ass, but i guess they sensed no threat from her. Maybe they thought she was a strange deer?

Molly had "issues" with cement statues. One time we walked to the bank and on the way back she froze and was staring at a cement lion. She was freaked out! I was trying to see if there was a cat or squirrel or bird by it, but no, just the statue. All of a sudden she bolted! I landed on my side. She was trying to drag me down the street. Funny now, not then, that hurt! She'd freeze up whenever we passed other cement statues, i had learned my lesson and I would cross the street with her! Since she had issues with cement statues, I am going to find an appropriate non-cement memorial to put on her grave. She was buried with her favorite toys, her deflated football and her stuffed kitty.

I'm just going to upload pictures now. I really can't type anymore---though looking at pictures won't be any easier.

Here she is tucked in at bedtime...

This is on our very first Metro Park hike, at the Gorge...

She's just a pup here at Tammy's....no, the date on the camera is wrong.
